WHERE WE BUILD
Even though it is just around the corner, we’ve come a long way from our first barn in Groton, Massachusetts. It is here where all our work is crafted by the Platt team using traditional techniques and modern equipment.
Our 6,000 square foot building is a woodworker's dream. Inside our cabinet shop, our team of five cabinetmakers has their own bench and ample space to work. Our finish area has a separate prep space and a well-ventilated spray booth. Our cabinet shop is thoughtfully laid out and houses the modern technology that allows our cabinet makers to focus on their craft.
HOW WE BUILD
"To end up with something great, you have to start with something great which is why we use the best materials we can to build our cabinetry. From plywood to the hinges to the finishes, we never compromise."
-Steve Adam, Cabinet Shop Manager
Every piece of your cabinetry is made to fit your home. Our paint-grade cabinets are always crafted with 1" thick hard maple. We source high-quality plywood for straighter, stronger, longer-lasting cabinets. We use the highest-quality functioning hardware we can find and European soft-close hinges and drawer slides are standard. Dovetailed joints, lock miters, grain matching, mortice and tenon panels, and full thickness backs are non-compromising standards for us so that you get the finest cabinetry available.
To put the custom difference to work, we meet with you, a designer, an architect, or all the above throughout the design process to make sure that your cabinets will be as beautiful as they are functional...all of which we have been doing since 1992.
